Do you still consider Johan Santana the best pitcher in baseball?
It was just yesterday how everyone was praising Johan. Now with Lincecum, Haren, Greinke, and all these younger guys coming up, seems like people forgot about my boy. There's no doubt that these young guys are great, but if there's a big game and I need someone to go out there for me, give me Johan Santana. What do you think?
BTW, I didn't forget about Roy Halladay..|||No, he is still a very good pitcher, but not the best.|||he is one of the top pitchers but not the best anymore.|||He is definately in the top 5 pitchers this year IMO. Active players' careers he is probably in the top 2.|||Santana is my favorite pitcher in the game today, he is great and is always exciting to watch. And they don't forget about Johan, but I was very mad that he didn't pitch in the All Star game, he probably wouldn't have gave up a run, and it would've costed them the game. With Percy Harvin out I need a WR to fill in. Should I start Santana Moss or Danny Amendola? Keep in mind that I play in a PPR league.|||I would start Amendola, he is really the only good Ram reciever and Bradford is on fire against a terrible D
Will the Yankees pull a Tigers move and steal Johan Santana away from the Red Sox?
Due to the fact that the Red Sox are taking too long to make the trade for Johan Santana? Now when I say pull a Tigers move I'm speaking in regards to the fact that the Tigers snagged Miguel Cabrera away from the Angels as the Angels took too long to make the move with the Marlins.|||I hope not. I'm thinking the Kiddie Corp of Hughes, Kennedy and Chamberlain will be coming into their own next year. If you tell them that you think theyre the answer they will get much more confidence then if you trade one or two for Johan to the Twinkies.|||nope they are not that smart!|||id say no|||NEVER SAY NEVER. The Angels put together a very good package for Cabrera, and the Marlins essentially spit in their faces and said, "Yeah right, you can do better." Don't be fooled. The Marlins have some of the best scouts in MLB, and they know exactly what they're getting from the Tigers. They'll have two major league ready players for next season, and probably at least 2 of the other 4 will be pro by 2009.
To answer your question though, I really don't see the Yankees swooping in for Santana. I'm sure they're rooting for him to end up with an NL team (Mets, Dodgers, or D-Backs), but they're negotiating has hit the skids, while other teams are still putting forth the effort to acquire him. I'd say the odds favor Boston right now, but there hasn't been word of a possible package from any of the NL teams, so stay tuned.|||Don't be so sure that the Red Sox haven't already come to terms with the Twins and the delay we're seeing is due to the contract negotiations with Santana. If the Sox don't get Santana in a multi-year contract, they won't give away valuable prospects and they won't press release anything until a complete deal is solidified.|||Santana stays put because Minnesota is simply asking for too damn much in return.|||I don't hink the Red Sux (Sox) or Yankees, not the Spanks as someone stated. I can't see either team giving up too much young talent for him. Should I start Santana Moss vs Dal or Bernard Berrian vs NO?
They both have similar stats, Moss is only projected about 5 fantasy points, while Berrian is projected 7 to 8.|||I am going through the same dilemma.

It comes down to playing it safe or going for it
Moss will have an average to above average game (80yds to 120yds 1 td)
Berrian could have a below average game (50yds) to a stellar game (150yds 2 td)
Dallas and Washington are not going to have a shootout. New orleans and Minnesota will.|||This sucked! lol, I still won week one though, I played Foster. How did your week one end up with Berrian?

what have been his accomplishments that paved the way for other artists?|||aside from being one of the top 5 guitarists in the world (imo). he has been able to combine his playing with the sounds of mariachi music and a bit of pop. he is also able to make his particular sound fit many different types of voices thru out the years. he has truly bridged any gap between all types of music and made it his.|||Eh, I think he's a good guitarist,but this guy is not getting any credit

Do you think Bafana has a future with Santana being their National Couch?
We have many talented people here in SA who can lead Bafana to 2010. Why do we have to always go out there. Soccer is a sport you don't need qualifications to be a soccer star, all I'm trying to say is many of our players do not understand English, so what about Brazilian languege?|||Well hopefully he'll be comfortable to sit on as any national couch should be.|||No way! Santana are always on tour.
