Do the Twins stand a chance at the postseason without Santana?

Lariano is back which will help. They have also singed players to contract extensions. Unfortunatly the Twins owner is cheap and doesnt want to sign high qualtiy players from free agency.|||A lineup with Mauer, Morneau, Cuddyer, and now Delmon Young looks pretty good. But boy do they have a young rotation now. And remember: they're going up against Detroit and Cleveland, two of the best teams in the game. Yikes! Let's hope these prospects turn out.|||obviosly not|||I honestly don't think they had much of a chance with Johan Santana.|||Doubtful. With the Indians and Tigers in their division they will have a tough time placing. I would dare say the White Sox have a better shot than the Twins. It's too bad because the Twins have had some solid players come through their organization.|||No chance in the AL Central....

But Delmon Young should be entertaining... The video of the bat throw is great...|||I don't beleive they had a chance to begin with. They're in one of the most talented divisions in baseball. With Santana, I doubt they would have made it past third place. Now, they're really gonna sit there with the Royals watching Cleveland and Detroit battle it out with Chicago just out of reach.|||They didn't stand a chance WITH him. Theres no guarantee Liriano will be the stud he was when he comes back from surgery. I keep hearing about how the Twins Owner is cheap and should have offered Santana more money. He offered Santana $20 million a year for four years, Santana wanted 7 years. I can see why he said no. You'll be paying Santana top dollar for pitching in his declining years.|||no they lost Torri Hunter AND Johan this off season. I don' think they stand a chance|||No.|||I'm from Minnesota, so I'm biased, but our lineup isn't bad with Mauer, Cuddyer, Morneau, and Young, it's obviously not the best, but better than others. Pitching will obviously be tough. We'll have Baker (who had 8 perfect innings against the Royals last year) Liriano who will be a big question mark after Tommy John surgery, Boof Bonser, who if he keeps the weight of will be a solid # 3 pitcher. Then the 4 and 5 spots are between Slowey, Perkins, and Humber...nothing too exciting here. I love the Twins, I think they stand a chance, but not a very good one with the way Detroit improved and Cleveland, well I can't say good things about them, but they might be better than the Twins.|||They will be better than many people think, especially if Lariano comes back strong, but I would give them little or no chance to finish ahead of either the Tigers or Indians.|||They dont stand much of chance. But I tire of people who think a person who plays once evry five days makes up a team. We'll win 70-80 games with an improved offense, but the young rotation. They'll finish second or third. The Indians arent gonna be that good this year, i think, but they dont have a shot at the postseason.
