What are some accomplishments of Carlos Santana?

3)he became devoutly spiritual,became a disciple of Chimnoy in the early 70's,changed his name to "Devadip" Carlos Santana along with John Mclaughlin changing his to "Mahavishnu"/they jammed a lot

5)Just a cool dude,an elegant cat these days...in 2004 I worked a "Michelle Branch" concert in San francisco and Carlos stopped by and dropped a bouquet of roses off for her...got to briefly exchange words with him...he seemed open and cool|||Are you for real xhigherg? Carlos Santana is a great musician and a great humanitarian and man over the year he has played with musician from all walks of life. I live in Philly and I remember the closing show of the Mellon Jazz Festival 1988 Carlos Santana Band with guess Wayne Shorter. Here's the cats in the band that evening. Carlos, Wayne, Chester Thompson - keyboards, Patrice Rushen - keyboards, Alphonse Johnson - bass, Ndgug Chancellor - drums Armando Peraza, Pete Escovedo - percussion. The Academy of Music was sold out not a empty seat in the house I still remember that show and I have a cassette audio copy of the show. June 26 1988 - 8 pm. Also I have many of Santana albums but I will recommend one The Swing of Delight 1980 it's on CD if you can find it pick it up please. My personal feeling is Mr. Santana being a Mexican American is a great for his race and all other races, young people can believe and work hard and you have the chance in America to be what you what to be. I would image over the years he has done some great humanitarian things for charity's and his country that we will never know about.|||He got Jaco Pastorious killed...
