How many good years do you think Johan Santana has left?

He's been good this year, it's just that the mets haven't managed to give him much run support. But aside from him, how many good years do most pitchers have, on average?|||Johan Santana is 31 years old. It depends on the pitcher, some pitchers can pitch until they're 47(Moyer). ;)

I say Santana has a good 5-7 seasons left in him, barring injuries.

I would consider the declining age, 36 for a pitcher. This is a great article to read : http://a.espncdn.com/mlb/columns/schwarz鈥?/a>

LOL@ the homer below me. Good job at answering the question. Never said Moyer was good, did I? The Atlanta air is screwing up your brain cells.|||First of all the Flyers lost so you can take that name off your avatar. Second, just because Jamie Moyer is still pitching doesn't mean hes still good. Hell, he could pitch for 10 more seasons, doesn't mean hes good.|||7 to 10 more I think he should go to another team like the boston redsox or the yankees because mets are ruining his chances of being a hall of famer!
