How much does it suck to be johan santana or jake peavy?

Playing for low-runs teams.. i kno i kno Santana 4-1 this season. but last season it didn't went like this..

Jake peavy todays game 12 strike outs gave up 2 runs. but the giants r shut out so far...

santana last year should of had 20+ wins!!! this year he might get that 20 win season as a met :)|||Well, it's not even that the Mets are a low scoring team, because they actually are ranked at the top of the NL for team batting average, stolen bases, triples and lots of categories, but they don't score with RISP well, and usually Santana matches up against good pitcher's (ex. Josh Johnson). Unfortunately, sometimes, the Mets even don't hit well against not-so-good pitchers, like Chan Ho Park. Maybe it's a lack of motivation, because they believe he could get them to win, with just one or two runs. Santana actually should be undefeated, but Murphy's error literally cost 2 runs, turning a win into a loss. His record would have been 13-0, in his last 13 decisions, dating back to I believe June last season. Santana has 16 wins, but 7 of his positions to win last season were blown. On most teams, they'd probably only blow one, maybe two at tops, of those. So, he would have won 21-22 games around the league. It's pretty sad that Lincecum on the Giants was able to do that, considering the team he played on last season. It's not like he's known for getting great run support either. Cliff Lee also didn't necessarily play for the best team either. The Mets actually were ranked among the top of the NL in runs scored last season, tied with the Phillies, so the offense really wasn't the problem. Outside of Pedro Martinez, in the regular season, especially during the summer, they probably had the most productively reliable rotation in baseball. Now, they're offense has gone inconsistent, they're defense has gotten shaky and their rotation, outside of Santana, is questionable, but improving. Ironically, Castillo's improved greatly, and the bullpen has been really good last season, two big problems last season. I don't think you could put Santana in the same boat though. One thing about Santana is he loves pitching in New York, even with this drama. And something tells me, minding all the chaos, he's happy to be a Met and will likely retire a Met. I could reasonably see him winning a Cy Young not just this season, but in later seasons too and possibly throwing a no hitter or perfect game during his tenure as a Met. I don't think Jake Peavy could be compared, because the Padres hitting is awful. It's like they go out of their way to screw him. I think he's really had it in San Diego, especially with all these ownership changes. He's bound to get traded, probably around the deadline, when they can cash in the most for him. I'd love to see the Mets get him. Imagine that 1-2 punch?|||As a Jay fan I have seen Halladay pitch for low run support before. Ya know I think it makes a pitcher pitch better because they know if they don't throw a complete game shut out they will lose. And it usually happens. If they get runs I think they are too relaxed and almost lose the games.|||santana had a good game 2day 7 inings 10 k's and 2 his if he keeps dominating the ball he could easy get 20 or more wins.Idk about jake peavy because it hard for him to win with a padres team that cant score runs|||REPORTED DAMN TROLL.|||Yeah, it's too bad. I don't doubt Peavy will be somewhere else before the All-Star break. The Padres can't really afford him right now.|||go braves
