I think the top two pitchers in baseball reside in the NL in Jake Peavy and Johan Santana, number three would have to be Josh Beckett. You could also make a case for a number of other guys in the top 3: Brandon Webb, Justin Verlander, Roy Halladay.
Again though, I'm going
1. Santana
2. Peavy
3. Beckett|||1. Santana
2. Becket
3. Sabathia
4. Peavy
5. Webb|||1. Peavy 0 runs
2. Santana 2 runs
3. Webb 2 runs
4. Verlander 4 runs|||Your avatar, his first name is Cosmo, last name Kramer. It bothers me.|||1.Peavy
2.Webb
3.Halliday|||CC Sabathia 3rd.|||Take Beckett out of there, he just had a good year last year.
Brandon Webb is #3
Jamie Shields #4|||i would give it to either Sabathia or Verlander but they would still be a distant 3rd behind Johan and Peavy.|||Kramer Cosmo did u just call Latinos all PIGS??????????
U WANT TO DANCE WITH NAME CALLING U MOOK PUTO?|||You HAVE to put Webb in there, how many times does a guy have to be 1 or 2 in Cy Young voting? he led his team last year, with not much by way of offense.. he's over Peavy. Peavy hasn't shown anything near what Webb has shown -- and you're going MORE on Peavy's fantasy ratings/numbers than real-life worth and Cy Voting. Peavy has a better bullpen, and better offense, and Webb isn't the flashy leader -- but an ultra-solid ACE.
I'd go 1) Santana, 2) Webb, 3) Beckett and 4) Halladay before 5) the Angel's Ace (who you've forgotten), and Verlander, Sabbathia and Carmona, then Wang and then... Carpenter, who while hurting is still right there. We may see John Maine as a Cy candidate %26amp; hurt Santana's votes this year, too. And don't forget Smoltz %26amp; Maddux %26amp; Wang, either in this discussion. (they just win, regardless of fantasy stats %26amp; ratings)
